The Breakfast Bandit
The spit braai is all it should be. Intelligently seasoned to ensure that each retains its identity, the succulent pork, beef and lamb are exemplary.
The toasted noodle and almond salad with balsamic vinaigrette is particularly good with a mouthful of crisply braaied yet pink-on the-inside lamb. A deceptively simple sweet-sour tomato smoortjie (smothering) elicits subtle hints of paprika and scorched pineapple from the pork. The rare beef could be improved only by fresh creamed horseradish, and the creamed spinach and potato bake are robustly honest.

I would just like to compliment Charl and Shelley of Nice by Nature Guest House on their outstanding hospitality during our recent stay over. All rooms are immaculate, breakfast was superb and our hosts went out of their way to make the 5 of us who stayed over feel at home. The view from the rooms and veranda are stunningly beautiful and makes one feel as if time stood still.
